Nuclear
For nuclear research centres, it is not just the part that counts but the documentation around it. Material origin, measurement data and process records must still be correct years later.
Does Fijn Mekaniek Nelissen work for nuclear research centres?
Yes. We are a supplier to nuclear research centres and make parts, replacement parts and prototypes for them in metal and plastic. Every workpiece is fully inspected and documented, with traceability from material through to final inspection, and supplied with the relevant certificates.

We work to documented processes within an ISO 9001:2015 and EN 9100:2018 quality system. That system was set up for aviation, but the traceability it demands benefits every customer with heavy documentation requirements.
Parts are inspected in our climate-controlled inspection room. Alongside coordinate measurement, we measure roughness, check parts on the profile projector and use microscopy where needed.
So what we deliver is never just the part. The measurement report belongs with it, as do the certificates for the material and for the post-treatments carried out by our partners. For these customers, that file is as much a part of the delivery as the part itself.

Frequently asked questions
Can you guarantee full traceability?
Yes. Our processes are documented within an ISO 9001:2015 and EN 9100:2018 quality system, with traceability from material to final inspection. The necessary certificates are supplied with the delivery.
Do you supply a measurement report with every part?
Yes. Every workpiece is inspected in a climate-controlled inspection room, on equipment including a Mitutoyo Crysta-Apex V9208 and Wenzel 3D measuring machines. The measurement data goes with the delivery.
Are you ISO 9001 certified?
Yes. ISO 9001:2015 and EN 9100:2018, both under certificate number BE014750. The full certificate is on our website.
Why is the measuring room climate-controlled?
Because material expands when warm and contracts when cold. At this level of measuring precision, a single degree of temperature difference shows up in the result. The 80 square metre room is therefore kept at a constant 20 degrees.
