Medical

Medical work calls for surfaces that are clean and dimensions that are demonstrably correct. With us, both are part of the process, not an exception.

Does Fijn Mekaniek Nelissen machine parts for the medical sector?

Yes. We make parts and prototypes for the medical sector in metal and plastic, within an ISO 9001:2015 quality system. Workpieces are ultrasonically cleaned and fully inspected in a climate-controlled inspection room, and the relevant certificates are supplied on delivery.

Inspection
Every workpiece

Ultrasonic cleaning is done in-house, as are surface grinding and sandblasting. For finishing treatments we work with specialised partners who supply the necessary certificates.

Inspection takes place in our climate-controlled inspection room on equipment including a Mitutoyo Crysta-Apex V9208 coordinate measuring machine and Wenzel 3D measuring machines, supplemented by roughness measurement and profile projection.

Because this work often involves small batches and changing variants, the emphasis is on recording the process. What was measured and approved for the first batch is fixed for the next - even when that comes months later.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you clean workpieces before delivery?

Yes. Ultrasonic cleaning is done in-house, as are surface grinding and sandblasting.

Is every workpiece inspected?

Yes, with great precision, in a climate-controlled inspection room kept at a constant 20 degrees. Measurements are taken on equipment including a Mitutoyo Crysta-Apex V9208 and Wenzel 3D measuring machines, supplemented by roughness measurement and profile projection.

Can you arrange finishing treatments?

Finishing treatments are handled by specialised partners who are qualified for them and supply a certificate for each treatment. Ultrasonic cleaning, surface grinding and sandblasting we do ourselves.

Do you also machine plastic?

Yes. Metal and plastic are both within the scope of our certificate, and both are machined on the same machines and with the same inspection.
