Demonstrated, not claimed
Anyone buying parts for an aircraft, a satellite or a research reactor is not buying a promise but a paper trail. Here is ours, in full.
Is Fijn Mekaniek Nelissen EN 9100 certified?
Fijn Mekaniek Nelissen is certified to EN 9100:2018 and ISO 9001:2015, under certificate number BE014750. The scope covers the machining of metal and plastic for aviation, space and defence. The certificate is reproduced in full below.

A standard is not a sticker
EN 9100 is the quality standard for aviation and space. It contains ISO 9001 in full and adds what this sector demands on top of it — because a mistake here rarely stays small.
Certification means that an independent body has audited those requirements and that we comply with them, even when nobody is watching. That is the difference between saying you work precisely and being able to prove it.
- 01
Traceability
From material batch to final inspection, every part remains traceable. Years later, it is still possible to establish which bar from which delivery went into which part.
- 02
Configuration management
Every drawing change gets a revision and a release. Work never quietly continues on an older version.
- 03
First article
A new part is first fully measured and released before the production run starts.
- 04
Special processes
Finishing treatments are handled by specialised partners who are qualified themselves, with a certificate for each treatment.
- 05
Product safety
Risks that affect the safety of the end product are explicitly assessed and recorded.
- 06
Counterfeit parts
The standard requires measures to keep counterfeit material from entering the supply chain.

About our certification
What is EN 9100:2018?
EN 9100 is the quality standard for aviation and space. It builds on ISO 9001 and adds requirements specific to this sector: configuration management, risk management, product safety, traceability and the prevention of counterfeit parts. The 2018 version is technically equivalent to AS9100D.
How does it differ from ISO 9001?
ISO 9001 describes how an organisation controls its quality. EN 9100 contains those requirements in full and adds what aviation demands on top of them, such as the demonstrable release of a first article, control of special processes and flowing requirements down to suppliers.
What work does the certificate cover?
Machining of metals and plastics for the production and supply of parts, replacement parts, and prototypes for aviation, space and defense industries. The certificate applies to a single site: Vrijheidweg 3, 3700 Tongeren.
How can I check the certificate?
The complete document is on this page. It bears number BE014750 and was audited to EN 9104-001:2013 within the ADS/ASCS aerospace sector certification scheme, accredited by UKAS.
Do you supply certificates with an order?
Yes. Material certificates, measurement reports and the certificates for post-treatments carried out by our partners are supplied with the delivery.
Send us your drawing. We'll take a look.
Send us your 2D or 3D file and we will tell you what it costs, how long it takes and whether the design could be made easier to produce.
